The Corn MAiZE
Portland Corn Maze

2016 MAiZE at The Pumpkin Patch

Portland’s original cornfield maze celebrates its 18th season at The Pumpkin Patch on beautiful Sauvie Island in Portland, Oregon. Eighteen years ago, Craig Easterly, founder of the original corn maze, brought his weird idea to Sauvie Island’s famous Pumpkin Patch and it soon became a fall tradition.  The MAiZE attracts 30,000 eager explorers annually to the giant labyrinth of field corn, located just fifteen minutes from downtown Portland.  Portland’s premier agri-tainment attraction, The Maize and The Pumpkin Patch, have combined the local food movement with down home fun on the farm.

The MAiZE has teamed up with Peanuts Worldwide to celebrate the 50th anniversary of "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!" with a custom-designed Peanuts-themed maze.  This year's MAiZE features Charlie Brown and Snoopy in The Pumpkin Patch, celebrating the great pumpkins that can be found at the farm.  The MAiZE encourages visitors to come out and enjoy the farm and take on the challenge of navigating over two miles of twist and turns in the eight acre cornfield.  There are no maps to use, however, the MAiZE staff will provide you with trivia cards, called "Passports" which will help lost maze-goers successfully complete the MAiZE.  There are two other games to play while inside the giant puzzle, "Cornundrums"  can be searched for in order to be solved and matched to a card that you pick up when entering... find and solve the ten different Cornundrums and enter your card into a prize drawing.  Peanuts Themed Bingo, is played like other bingo games... look for the ten different Peanuts-Themed trivia signs, scratch off the squares that correspond to a square on your card and hope for a Bingo!  If you have a winning card, you'll be eligible to win a Grand Prize Trip for 4 to see The Peanuts Gang at Knotts Berry Farm, if you are able to scratch off all 19 squares with Peanuts characters.
